Leveraging their power as individuals, employees are asking for more personalized, agile, and holistic rewards, including a focus on fair and open pay. While companies recognize this overall shift, only 8 percent report that their rewards program is “very effective” at creating a personalized, flexible solution. Early experiments are exploring how to develop a holistic variety of rewards and match them to individual preferences, across diverse talent segments and on a continuous basis.

Andre Rooks – Principal and Compensation Consultant – Mercer- Panel Participant
Andre Rooks is a Principal at Mercer where he is responsible for developing strategies that improve the outcomes from base pay, incentive pay and other compensation programs. 

Andre has worked with organizations such as General Mills, The Boeing Company, Lands End, MYR Group, Wright Medical Group NV, Meta Financial Group, Dairy Queen and Ameritas. 

Andre has published white papers, participated in webinars and presented to industry groups such as the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals, Financial Executives International , AAIM Employers' Association, Twin Cities Compensation Network and the Design Finance Officers Group. Andre has also been a guest speaker at Loyola University Chicago and DePaul University. Prior to joining Mercer, Andre was a senior consultant at Aon Hewitt. 

Andre earned a Bachelors of Science in Economics from the University of Illinois and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Andre provides expertise on topics such as:

Lisa Tollakson- Facilitator
I am a Strategic Account Executive with Benefitfocus. I have over 10 years of experience in HCM technology consulting. Prior to joining Benefitfocus, I was in sales at ADP and held several leadership roles with TCF Bank. I am SPHR and SHRM-SCP certified and have held several board positions with HR organizations and business entities. In 2017 I founded a non-profit to spread awareness of the impacts of high blood pressure – 120/80 Foundation. I currently lead the programming committee and have been on the board since 2016.
