Human Centered Design (HCD) is a problem solving  that starts with understanding the needs of the people you are designing for. HCD focuses both on empathy and creativity and  uses a set of tools to guide you through inspiration, ideation, and implementation.  As HR leaders we design and deploy the organization’s people strategies, but our approach doesn’t always meet the needs of our end users. Join us to learn how HCD can help you design processes and products from a new perspective.

Jackie Colburn has been leading the creation of human-centered experiences for over a decade; everything from emerging startups to critical strategic efforts for fortune 50 businesses. Before launching her Design Sprint practice in 2017, Jackie spent 6 years in client leadership and strategy at GoKart Labs, where she led teams in developing new business ideas and bringing them to market.

A Design Sprint is a time-constrained, human-centered, collaborative design effort. Through her own version of a Design Sprint, Jackie helps teams create the conditions to co-create future solutions and has worked with teams to solve a wide range of problems.

She’s led workshops with:

  • Educators working to design better experiences for children in the classroom
  • Entrepreneurs to create the right messages to communicate a new service offering to prospects
  • Operations teams to improve efficiency inside their organization
  • Executives working to define which projects to prioritize to best serve their customers
